University of North Carolina Chapel Hill

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, also known as UNC, is a public research university located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, United States. After being chartered in 1789, the university first began enrolling students in 1795,  which makes it one of the oldest universities in the USA.UNC is divided into a number of schools and colleges, the largest of which is the undergraduate College of Arts and Sciences. Graduate programs include the highly ranked Kenan—Flagler Business School, School of Education, School of Law, School of Medicine, Gillings School of Global Public Health, School of Social Work, Eshelman School of Pharmacy and School of Government.  While At least 82 percent of each freshmen class must be from North Carolina, as dictated by state law the University i a very diverse place with students from all patrs of the country and even a  large interbational population.  UNC is best known for its fampus  Basketball rivalry with nearby Duke University.
  UNC, Dule and  North Carolina State University  are the the vertices of the North Carolina Research  Triangle  ( known locally as  "the triangle".  The triangle has  created many jobs in the region for  university graduates  and conpanies like IBM, Verizon and  Bauer ar  major employers.

 
University of North Carolina--Chapel Hill is ranked #30 in National Universities.  but is in the top 10 public schools. Admission is very competitive with an acceptance rate of only 30%
UNC has one supplementary essay as follows:
