 I am now going to look at a few schools which are  great "safety" schools. These are colleges with  scceptance rtes around 50% or more and  while often most famous for the party atmosphere  but have  every strong  and reputedacademic programs
Syracuse is a  well known  research university  located in Syracuse , New York.Syracuse University's strength is based on the depth and breadth of its academic programs spanning the arts, sciences, and professional education. In recent years we have developed several interdisciplinary research clusters; launched signature programs in such areas as biotechnology, global enterprise technology, music industry, and sport management; and created integrated learning majors for students interested in such expanding fields as forensic science and neuroscience.  Syracuse is also home to several profession  schools including one of the best journalism programs in the country.
 Syracuse is also  connected to the SUNY School of Forestry which has one of the e best    Environmrntal science programs.
 Syracuse is also known as being  a famous party school.   University sports teams are among the best on the east coast and are  nationally competitive   The cold winters are packed with indoor activities. 



 Syracuse is ranked #60 among national universities Acceptance rates are 48%.   The essay is a short answer "Why Syracuse "  question.    This can be answered by  saying you want a  strong  education  while not  neglecting your  non academic interests.
