Purdue University

 Purdue is a large public university in  West Lafayette, Indiana.It has a total undergraduate enrollment of 29,497. It is one of the nation's premier institutions with more than 200 areas of undergraduate study and renowned research initiatives. Purdue is known for  having a small college feel despite its size. Purdue's programs in a wide variety of undergraduate and graduate disciplines consistently rank among the best in the country. Over twenty of America's astronauts hold Purdue degrees. Purdue is best known as an engineering institution.  Given its strength in Engineering and busines related fields,  it is not surprising that Purdue has one of the largest foreign student  populations  It started as an Agricultural and mechanical  training school. The local press referred to  a Purdue team as   the "boilermakers  from Lafayette" and the school adopted the moniker.
The most popular majors at Purdue University include: Engineering, Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services, Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities and Engineering Technologies and Engineering-Related Fields.

  Admission is selective with an acceptance rate of 59%.  It is ranked #60 among national universities and is considered  one of the best public universities for  STEM programs. Purdue also has a rolling deadline.
