Bucknell University





 Bucknell is a small University on rural  EasternPennsylvania. It small size ( 3000 undergraduates and intimate setting  give it more of a liberal arts college feel that that of a  university so it is no surprise that Bucknell is ranked #32 among the Liberal arts colleges and not among research universities.

The university consists of the College of Arts and Sciences, School of Management, and the College of Engineering. Bucknell was founded in 1846, and features programs in the arts, humanities, sciences, social sciences, engineering, management, education, and music, as well as programs and pre-professional advising that prepare students for study in law and medicine. It offers nearly 50 majors and over 60 minors.  Bucknell's Engineering program is very strong and  Bucknell is consistently ranked as one of the best undergraduate engineering programs. Bucknell is divided into three academic component: The college of Arts and Sciences - comprising of the  tradition liberal arts  programs - humanities, natural sciences and social sciences. This is the iberal arts heart of  Bucknell. The other colleges are the college of Engineering and the Vollege of Management studies.
 Bucknell also provides plenty of opportunities for interdisciplinary work  and  student defined programs.


 Admission to Bucknell is competitive   an aceptance rate of around 25%. Bucknell has recently eliminated its supplementary essay requirement from the application.
