STEM universities

STEM  universities

Along with Liberal Arts colleges, there are several institutions that  are  STEM focused(  Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). STEM schools  tend to be research universities.
STEM  universities are often popular with international students.

To apply successfully to a STEM school you need to showcase your academic interests and accomplishments in related fields.    STEM schools tend to value a "learning by doing" mindset  and you are expected to  enjoy   the creative and  getting your hands dirty  aspect,  Prior laboratory or workshop experience is highly valued.

Some highly regarded STEM schools are:

  • MIT
  • Caltech
  • Carnegie Mellon University
  • Georgia Tech
  • Case Western Reserve University
  • Rice
  • Purdue

There are several excellent Early  Action admission options.  I have evaluated
Caltech and  Georgia Tech  in other posts and will look at MIT  and CMU  as well.
