Describe a problem you've solved or a problem you'd like to solve. It can be an intellectual challenge, a research query, an ethical dilemma - anything that is of personal importance, no matter the scale. Explain its significance to you and what steps you took or could be taken to identify a solution.
This looks very easy - how would tou solve a problem. But remember the key is why THIS problem. What is it sigbificance. If you want to cure a disease - why - have you lost someone special?
This is a great prompt for STEM students - do use it to talk about any experiences you have had in working on and solving challenging problems.
As always focus more on your own learning and thought process than describing the problem at hand. Your answer should leave the reader knowing you better - what issues matter to you and how you want to make a difference.
