Things to do While waiting for College dmissions Decisions

Waiting for college admissions decisions is a boring and stressful time for students, parents and counselors - basically anyone involved in the admissions process.
The results will be out soon so don't stress out. Results tend to come between March 15 and April 15. April Fools day is as good a day as any to  receive your college letter

Here are some things to do to pass the time

  1.  DONT  PANIC or STRESS OUT - At this stage  there is no benefit to getting excited.
  2.  DO Not call the university - Harassing the admissions committe or getting someone else to call on your behalf is not going to have  any impact. Actually it could backfire if you annoy someone too muc

  1.  Stay confident. You are  smart, hardworking and generally awesome - You will get in to college.   For fun invent a fictitious university."I got into 'Belle and Sebastian University.'  It sounds good just to say it.
  2. Write Thank  You notes - you should have done this already for the teachers who helped you with college - but everyone likes  being appreciated. This will be   your last few months  of school - thank all the teachers and staff  you can.
  3.  Spend time with friends.  You will be miles away from your best friends in a few months - hang out together and enjoy
  4. Learn something for fun -    like photography, cooking or a new language.
  5. Dont let  your grades drop. You studied too hard to  screw up in  your final year.
  6.  Check out if your  preferred colleges have  days to host  accepted students. You may want to visit campuses before deciding

  7.  Get your funds ready to pay a deposit at a great university. One semesters fees typically.

There  you go- this should keep you busy for the next  month.
 I sense a celebration soon.
